My father came to Harbor Terrace to visit his sister and brother-in-law who lived there.  He liked Harbor Terrace so much, he decided to try it out for himself and moved in.  He immediately became involved with the daily exercise class, the live musicians' ( he played French horn ) pet visits and rummy.  In addition, Harbor Terrace was able to provide assistance with dressing; bathing and they managed his medication.  That was almost two years ago and he is still happy and loves his new life.

It was becoming more difficult to live alone. I really need help taking a shower and dressing. I knew a friend here and he really liked it.  So I though I would give Harbor Terrace a try and that was almost three years ago.

I now call the helpers at Harbor Terrace my Angels.  They are always available when I need them.  I feel much safer.  The added bonus is that I have made many friends.  I am so happy.

Our dad had problems with his memory and home was no longer an option.  The family wanted a great place and the right location as we live in Redondo Beach.  We looked at six different places and chose Harbor Terrace.  There is an intimate, low key feeling here that really appealed to us.  The staff is dedicated, loving and genuinely interested in each person that lives here.  Dad is very happy.

For me this is a dream come true.  I am so happy and content with not a care in the world.  I love that I don't have to clean up the dishes after the meals and when I come back from breakfast my apartment is fresh and clean and my bed is made.  I feel like a queen.
I have to plan when I can rest due to all the different and interesting activities.  My grandchildren came in and told me my apartment here is just like home because I have all my own furniture and decorations on the walls.  I have a complete feeling of independence here.  Who could ask for more?
